Homework

Each child will be set at least two pieces of homework on a Friday covering literacy and numeracy. This should be returned by the following Thursday. Home reading books will be selected by the child from the class libraries as we are hoping to encourage an independance and enjoyment of reading real books.

When hearing your child read it would be appreciated if you could sign the reading record. Return it to school on your child’s allocated day so that we can monitor their reading. Reading books will be changed weekly `and in addition your child will be able to select a book from the school library which should be returned each week.

Thank you for your co-operation.
